Socially responsible investment
WHAT IS SRI?
Socially responsible investment (SRI) refers to investment done by taking social, environmental, ethical and corporate governance criteria into account in investment choices.
Socially Responsible Investment has its origins in 18th century Anglo-Saxon society, notably with the Quaker movement, or in the United States at the end of the 19th century when religious communities prohibited their followers from investing in companies producing weapons, alcohol or tobacco. Today, many responsible investment solutions exist. These can be generalist or specialist, focusing on aspects with a more social, environmental, governance, sharing, impact or solidarity dimension
Funds For Good,
AN APPROVED INVESTMENT POLICY
The socially responsible investment policy of Funds For Good is implemented at several levels:
EXCLUSIONS BASED ON NORMS AND SECTORS
Using a proprietary system, FUNDS FOR GOOD brings together a series of more than 900 companies to which access to its funds will be excluded. These companies are excluded due to non-alignment with international treaties, because they are owned by states placed under embargo, or because they are active in controversial sectors such as tobacco, non-conventional weapons, fossil fuels or raw materials. See the exclusion list.
ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE (ESG) POLICY
Within its portfolios, FUNDS FOR GOOD offers solutions that allow the carbon footprint and the quality of social management within companies to be superior to that of the markets in which its funds are invested. A voting rights policy is also in place. Each of the compartments of the FUNDS FOR GOOD mutual fund indicates the level of these factors on a monthly basis.
BEST-IN-CLASS POLICY
Finally, FUNDS FOR GOOD ensures that asset investments, aimed at ensuring that its products outperform their benchmark markets, are made in companies for which the overall ESG rating is in the upper bracket of the market.
TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY:
On 02/03/2020, all of the solutions offered by FUNDS FOR GOOD received the SRI “Toward Sustainability” label from Febelfin, renowned as one of the most comprehensive at the European level.
